Remembrance Ideas

Remembering your Loved One can take on many forms: it can be sentimental and personal, or silly and public, or anything in between. Here are a few ideas.

Shadow Boxes are a lovely way to display your Special Person’s favorite things—from photos and books to toys and trinkets. Your whole family can bring an item or two to place in the box, and talk about why that item is so special.

glasscontainer Similar to the shadow box is the glass container (you can buy one at many dollar stores, craft stores, and big box stores, or use an old candle jar). Line the inside of the jar with a page from your Special Person’s favorite book, quote, Scripture, or a sheet of music from their favorite song. Place a small candle inside for a special glow. Alternately, you can fill the jar with notes, stories, and quotes from your loved one, or little trinkets that make you think of him or her. Open the jar anytime you need a physical reminder of the love you have for your Special Person.

favshirt Send your Special Person’s favorite shirt or blanket to Carrie Bears, and have it made into a one-of-a-kind teddy bear.
